Designsane is a signage and wayfinding consultancy based in Ahmedabad, India. We work on residential towers, mixed-use developments, commercial campuses, and infrastructure projects — helping developers and their teams bring legibility, identity, and spatial logic to the built environment.
What sets us apart is simple: we come from architecture.
Most signage firms come from graphic design or branding. We come from an understanding of how buildings are conceived, documented, and delivered. That background changes how we work — we read drawings, we speak the language of the project team, and we know how to integrate a wayfinding system into the design process rather than bolt it on at the end.

The Architectural Difference
A wayfinding system is not a set of signs. It is a spatial decision — about hierarchy, about movement, about how a person experiences a building before they consciously process it.
Getting that right requires understanding the building itself: its structural grid, its circulation logic, its sightlines, its finishes. It requires being in the room during design development, not after handover.

I started Designsane because I kept seeing the same problem on projects: buildings that were architecturally considered, but spatially incoherent. People getting lost. Basements that nobody could navigate. Tower lobbies with no clear sense of where you were or where to go.
Signage was being treated as a procurement item rather than a design decision. I wanted to change that.
Designsane exists to bring the same level of intent to wayfinding and environmental graphics that the best architects bring to the buildings themselves. Every project we take on, we ask one question first: what does someone need to know, and when do they need to know it?
Everything we design is an answer to that question.
